# Terms of Service

## 1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SportCast ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
## 2. Description of Service
SportCast is a mobile application that allows users to:
- Broadcast live video to YouTube Live and Facebook Live- Manage live broadcasts, including scheduling and creating events- Display score overlays during streams- Record video locally- Control streams remotely via an Apple Watch companion app or peer devices on a local network
## 3. Eligibility
You must be at least 7 years of age to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
## 4. User Accounts and Third-Party Authentication
### 4.1 Google / YouTube OAuth
The App uses Google Sign-In and the YouTube Data API to enable live streaming to YouTube. By connecting your Google account, you authorize the App to:
- Access your YouTube channel to create, manage, and stream live broadcasts- Read your basic Google profile information (name, email, profile photo)- Access your YouTube live streaming credentials
Your use of Google services through the App is also subject to [Google's Terms of Service](https://policies.google.com/terms) and [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy). The App's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the [Google API Services User Data Policy](https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.
### 4.2 Facebook / Meta OAuth
The App uses Facebook Login to enable live streaming to Facebook Pages. By connecting your Facebook account, you authorize the App to:
- Access your Facebook Pages and their live video capabilities- Create and manage live video broadcasts on your Pages- Read your basic Facebook profile information (name, profile photo)
Your use of Facebook services through the App is also subject to [Meta's Terms of Service](https://www.facebook.com/terms.php) and [Meta's Privacy Policy](https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/).
### 4.3 Account Credentials
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your connected accounts. The App stores OAuth tokens locally on your device. You may disconnect any linked account at any time from within the App.
## 5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Stream content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others- Stream content that violates YouTube's or Facebook's community guidelines and terms of service- Interfere with or disrupt the App or any connected services- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the App
## 6. Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all content you broadcast, record, or distribute using the App. The App is a tool for streaming — it does not monitor, review, or endorse any user content.
## 7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including YouTube, Facebook, and RTMP endpoints. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.
## 8. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and are protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual property laws.
## 9. Privacy and Data
### 9.1 Data Stored Locally
The App stores account credentials (OAuth tokens), stream keys, and preferences locally on your device using the device's secure storage. No user data is transmitted to or stored on servers operated by the App developer.
### 9.2 Data Shared with Third Parties
When you stream or manage broadcasts, data is transmitted directly between your device and the third-party platform (YouTube or Facebook). The App does not act as an intermediary server.
### 9.3 Camera and Microphone
The App requires access to your device's camera and microphone to capture live video and audio for streaming and recording. This data is sent directly to the streaming platform you select or saved locally to your device's photo library.
### 9.4 Local Network
The App uses your local network to enable remote control functionality between devices (e.g., Apple Watch, peer iOS devices). This communication stays within your local network.
## 10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that streams will be delivered without interruption or latency.
## 11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of content, data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the App.
## 12. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or third parties.
## 13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
## 14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
